We’re happy to break the news that the lovely former VH1 reality TV star Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline is playing a role in a film being shot right in our backyard! That’s right, the lovely Philadelphia is hosting the filming for a project titled “Resume.”
Check out an entire interview with Doll below.
Interview: We’re with here with very beautiful and talented Jackie “Doll”! I know you’re working on a few movies as we speak. Tell us about that.
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Right now I’m working on a romantic comedy called “Resume.” I am actually playing a lesbian roll which I was very surprised about my character but I like it and I’m doing a good job (laughs). I don’t have any crazy sex scenes or anything like that but there is some spicy stuff in there. My character’s name is Jazmine and I start filming that in September. I don’t know how long that process will take but I’m really excited about that. I’m also attending acting class once or twice a week. It’s been really funny and a good experience.
Interview: Are there any other actors in the film you’d like to mention?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: It’s mainly actors and actresses like me who are just starting off. There is one actor named Drew and he’s done a couple of other short films in Los Angeles. We don’t have any big names just yet.
Interview: Cool. Did it surprise you when you found out your role was to play a lesbian?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: I’ll be honest, I got the script like three months ago and I never really looked over it because I was so busy. Now finally that I have to deal with the acting classes, I thought ok, let me go read over it. We haven’t gone through it fully but we did in my first session with the acting coach. I opened my script and was like “oh my God, I’m a lesbian” (laughs). I had no idea! It was kind of awkward at first. I was definitely caught off guard but I have to play it naturally now. I was surprised they wanted me to play a lesbian. What does that say about me?
Interview: It definitely says something (laughs). They must have not been disappointed looks wise. What can we do with her? She looks good, let’s give her some lesbian scenes.
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: I’m excited; it’s great! It should bring me a whole gay community fan base that I probably never had before. I’m excited about it. I’m not sure if I have to do any kissing scenes but I think there may be a small scene in there with some kissing but will see.
Interview: It can’t be a bad thing! Even the men, it’s probably gonna’ bring you some new male fans as well (laughs).
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: (Laughs) will see about that! I’m working another film called “Reality” and it’s kind of complicated because I’m trying to remember both scripts at the same time because I’m filming both of them around the same time.
“Reality” begins filming in late August and “Resume” at the beginning of September. I’m gonna’ be doing two films at one time so it’s gonna’ be busy. I need to remember both scripts. I have a good memory so I should be fine. I’m playing a straight girl in one film and a lesbian in the other so it’s gonna’ be a lot of fun.
Interview: You don’t wanna’ mess up and try kissing your female cast mate in “Reality” (laughs).
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: No I don’t (laughs). I don’t want to mention too many names but we do have a great in cast in both films. “Reality” is going to be a funny movie too and I have one of the main roles; I’m looking forward to that. I know they already have Billboards in Houston to advertise so it should be great and I’m really looking forward to it.
Interview: That’s cool! And definitely let our readers know about your websites, I know that’s newly developed.
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: I love my new website! It’s amazing and it was done by my friend Louis who has his own social network as well. He built my website which is www.lightbrightdoll.com and I have all my pictures up there. I just started blogging recently as well; I’m not a professional blogger or anything but I just write my ideas and opinions on specific subjects and I throw it up there. I get some good comments, especially on my “Girl Code” blog.
I post pictures that I can’t post on Facebook and Twitter, the ones that are too hot that you don’t want to put out there! (Laughs). You never know who you have on Facebook, I’m sure I have some cousins and what not. I put the crazier pictures like my shower scenes on my website. I like it because it’s like my own personal space. People can go on there and comment as well! We have like our own private conversations.
Interview: So if any of your cousins ever ask “hey you don’t have a website? Nope” (laughs).
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: It makes it so hard for me! I have so much family, my grandfather had 22 children. I have family in France and the rest of Europe and they always request me on Facebook and it’s not really my personal Facebook, it’s just my general “let’s have fun, chat and comment” Facebook. I actually don’t have a personal Facebook.
Interview: It’s more work related
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: It’s strictly work related so I feel bad because I usually deny some of cousins (laughs).
Interview: I can definitely understand that
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Yeah, I have pictures in my bikinis and stuff like that. Come on! They’re gonna’ be like what kind of work is she into?
Interview: Especially uncles and what not
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Exactly
Interview: That’s funny. Would you like to mention any upcoming modeling shoots and stuff? Where our readers can check that out?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Well I am signed to an agency so I do a lot of work. I was just the national face model for AJ Wright which I’m not sure if they’re stuff goes out everywhere but I know it’s huge in Massachusetts. It’s affiliated with TJ Maxx and Marshall’s and I was just there national ad model. I’m really sad that they just went out of business because I put a lot of work into that. I’m working on a new project that will have me in sneakers, high socks, jogging pants and a sports bra. It’s gonna’ be weird because I’ve never done that before but I’ll definitely post those pictures on my website as soon as I get them.
Interview: Something tells me you’ll manage (laughs).
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: I don’t know! Sneakers and some jogging pants? I don’t know what I’m gonna’ do with that.
Interview: They may have to scrap the jogging pants but the high socks sound cool!
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: I’m looking forward to it! That’s pretty much what I’m doing right now. I’m always doing events. I hosted a party in Providence, Rhode Island which was more of an African Zouk thing due to my nationality with my mom coming from the Cape Verde islands. They had some Cape Verdean performers fly out from Cape Verde and it was really cool. I do a lot of Caribbean style themed events as well. That’s pretty much what I have on my table right now. It’s a lot to keep up with.
Interview: It’s a blessing to be busy right?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Absolutely, I can’t complain at all. I’m very blessed and happy.
Interview: We’re happy to hear that. Speaking of hosting events and what not, is there any email that promoters can hit up if they’re interested in having you host an event?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: Absolutely. I have my own personal email which is dolliedollss@gmail.com. I’m very experienced; I’ve done a ton of ads like Macy’s, AJ Wright and so on. It’s not just about reality, I do all types of modeling. I’m open to a variety of different bookings because people always generalize me as a reality star due to VH1 but I’m more than that. I keep it moving, one thing to the next.
Interview: There’s no doubt about that. We already have your website, where can they find you on Twitter and Facebook?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: www.twitter.com/dollieedoll and my Facebook is Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline. I do that because I do have my degree, so if I ever choose to use that, I don’t want my employers to be able to search all of that. That’s my little trick so when they Facebook my real name, I’m not on there.
Interview: There you have it, follow her on Twitter and add her on Facebook unless you’re a family member! If you are, keep away from her Facebook and Twitter! Just hit her on her cell phone and ask how she’s doing, ok? That does it for my questions Doll; do you have any last words before I let you go?
Jackie “Doll” Jacqueline: That’s it! I have a lot on my plate right now which I’m looking forward too.
